The Spirit of Summer and the Road to Gold 🥇

We’ve had a fantastic summer here at our centre and hope you’ve enjoyed yours too. With the Olympics just behind us, we’ve been deeply inspired by the stories of perseverance, wisdom gained from success & failure, the power of teamwork, and the mutual respect between athletes. These are all qualities we strive to cultivate at the Dojo, both in training and in competition.
Though kickboxing hasn’t made it to the Olympics yet, we’re incredibly proud to announce that four of our elite Fight Club members from our SKF Dojo will be representing Great Britain at the Youth WAKO World Championships in Hungary flying out this weekend. It’s a huge accomplishment to be selected for the national team, and after a rigorous 12-week training camp, they are ready to give it their all. We’ll be cheering them on as they go for gold, and we’ll keep you updated on their progress – the event will be live-streamed, so you can follow along from home.
Chief instructor Jacey will also be traveling to Hungary as a National Coach for Team GB. At the final squad training last weekend, Jacey reflected on the purpose he finds through coaching at such a high level and being part of a team environment that fosters growth and excellence.
